Alex Healy-Byrne signs for Burnley

Cork City FC can confirm that Alex Healy-Byrne has joined English Championship side Burnley.

Alex joined City’s Under 15 side ahead of the 2019 season from College Corinthians, and has progressed through the Under 17s and into the Under 19s.

City’s Head of Academy, Liam Kearney, commented: “Alex epitomises everything we like to see in our academy players in terms of work-rate, attitude and determination. He has worked very hard and now finds himself with a great opportunity, which we all hope goes well for him. We would like to wish him every success for the future.”
