Cork City FC are delighted to announce a new, three-year partnership with the Mardyke Arena UCC.
There has been a partnership between the club and the Arena since 2012 and now, for the first time, the partnership will include the club’s senior women’s team, who will now also have access to the world-class facilities at the venue.
The partnership will include individual memberships for CCFC players, access to the Arena Clinic for players with long-term injuries and access to strength and conditioning, recovery and rehabilitation facilities.
In recognition of the partnership, the Mardyke Arena logo will be proudly displayed on the sleeve of both men’s and women’s jerseys for the coming season.
Speaking at today’s official launch of the partnership, John Mullins, Chairman – Board of Directors, Mardyke Leisure (UCC) DAC said: “Mardyke Arena UCC is very pleased to continue its support of Cork City Football Club for the 2023 season. We wish the Women’s and Men’s team the very best for the season ahead and we hope that our support at the Arena assists each player and management. The Partnership between Mardyke Arena and Cork City has been a very fruitful one over the years and we hope that both teams get a real chance of silverware this year. We will do our very best to help that ambition.”
Cork City’s Chief Operating Officer, Éanna Buckley, commented: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with the Mardyke Arena UCC for another three years. Access to the top-class facilities here has been a huge asset to the club over the last decade, and I am especially pleased that this new partnership will now offer access to our women’s players to these facilities also. We have a really good working relationship with Patsy Ryan (General Manager, Mardyke Arena UCC) and his team, and look forward to continuing that on into the future.”
