Cork City FC’s pre-season preparations continue tomorrow, as they face St. Pat’s in Dublin.
City have played three times in pre-season thus far, defeating Killarney Celtic and UCD, before drawing with Finn Harps last weekend.
New loan signings Matt Srbely and Matt Healy will be available for selection, giving City boss Colin Healy further options to choose from. A number of players have missed out on City’s three pre-season fixtures thus far and a few of those are set to miss out again tomorrow, however Healy expects to have virtually a full squad to choose from for next week’s final pre-season fixture against Shelbourne. Healy said “This will be another very good game for us. Pat’s had an excellent season last year and I am sure they will be expecting to be challenging again this year. We have been quite happy with how pre-season has gone so far; training has been good and we’ve got three good games under our belt so far.”
It has also been confirmed that Sean Kennedy will not be returning to the club this season, with Healy commenting: “Sean has decided not to come back this year and is looking at going down a different route than playing football. We are disappointed, but that’s his decision and we respect it. We wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Tickets for next week’s final pre-season fixture, against Shelbourne at Turner’s Cross, are now on sale online here. Physical tickets will be available from the club shop in Douglas Village Shopping Centre in the next few days
