City had the ball in the back of the net in the 40th minute when Christina Dring fired home but the referee disallowed the goal. City came out strong in the second half and doubled their lead in the 56th minute as Aoibhinn Donnelly worked the ball up the left wing and placed it into the path of the oncoming Eva Mangan who struck it home from the edge of the box to give City a 2-0 lead. City were reduced to 10 when Lauren Walsh received a red card after two yellow cards in the 63rd minute.
