Cork City FC are delighted to announce that Darragh Crowley has signed a new contract with the club for the 2025 Season!
The 24-year-old has made over 100 first team appearances since his debut in 2019. Crowley was a consistent performer for City in the Premier Division last season before a knee injury cut his season short in June, and he has featured prominently in Tim Clancy’s side this year since making his return from that injury.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Crowley said: “It’s good to get it done early. It’s the earliest I’ve had a contract done, so it’s good to know that I can get a good pre-season behind me. I’ll be working hard for the next few months ahead of the new season. There’s a lot of excitement around to club at the moment, so I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
City boss Tim Clancy said: “Cork City supporters are very familiar with the sort of player that Darragh Crowley is, so we are all happy to get him tied down for 2025.
Darragh worked very hard during his time out injured, and he has been great for us since coming back into the side. Although he is still a relatively young player, he has got a number of years of experience behind him at this point, so he understands what is required as we head back to the Premier Division next season.
We’ve been hard at work over the last few weeks to get deals done, so we hope to have more news on the squad over the coming days.”
