Greg Bolger signs new contract!

Cork City FC are delighted to announce that Greg Bolger has signed a new contract ahead of the 2025 Season!

The midfielder, who returned to the club ahead of the 2024 Season, played a pivotal role in ensuring City’s return to the Premier Division, and has today put pen to paper on a new deal which will see him say on Leeside next season. 

Speaking after signing his new contract, Bolger said: “I’m delighted to have signed back for the 2025 Season. I love the club. It’s very exciting, but more importantly, the huge challenge ahead of trying to help stabilise the club’s position in the Premier Division and being apart of that is what excites me the most”

City boss Tim Clancy said: “Greg has been immense for us since he returned to the club, so we felt it was very important to get him tied down for next season. He has a lot of Premier Division experience, which will be invaluable to us next year.”

In addition to his playing role, Bolger will also work alongside Tim Clancy’s coaching staff as a first team coach for the 2025 season.

“Greg has been doing some coaching with our Men’s Under 17 side this season, and he is keen to progress in terms of his coaching career.

While he still has a lot to offer as a player, I think he can also add a lot in terms of the coaching side of things as well.”
