Cork City FC are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms for the signing of Alex Nolan.
The 21-year-old winger joins the club from St. Patrick’s Athletic, where he made 22 league appearances in 2024, while also featuring in the Dublin side’s UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.
City boss Tim Clancy was pleased to secure Nolan’s signature, saying “Alex is a very exciting young winger who has been in high demand, so we’re delighted to get this deal done. Although he is still a very young player, he has been a part of a Cup winning side and has featured in a European campaign, so he knows the standards that are expected as we return to the Premier Division.
I know exactly what kind of player we’re getting in Alex, and what he will add to the squad for next season.
We are in discussions with a number of players at the minute, and are hopeful of confirming further additions to the squad in the near future.”
Speaking this afternoon ahead of his move to Leeside, Nolan said: I’m delighted to have signed for a big club like Cork City. It’s a massive year ahead for the club and I can’t wait to get going. Hope to see everyone in a packed out Turner’s Cross very soon.”
